“Go Green” CSR Event

On 22nd September 2023, AOPL organised a CSR event “Go Green”, in collaboration with community-based organisation -Plastify for a beach cleanup programme at Pasir Ris Park.

The event enhances work culture, boosts corporate social responsibility, creates critical awareness about sustainability and empowering all to make the world a better place.

Each member is given opportunities to learn about plastic waste and recycling. We are able to identify 7 types of plastics and understand the complexity of recycling process.

During the coastal cleanup, we gain insightful discovery on the consequences of coastal ecosystems, and its implications on our marine environment, wildlife, and even us, humans.

Every steps are documented with photos, the whole team comes together with a group photo and their bags of trash. The trashes are collected and sorted out for plastic recycling at the end of the session.

AOPL supports “Go Green” by engaging in several initiatives, one being encourage employees to eliminate plastics by using recycle bag. So, even a small change in day-to-day lifestyle can make a huge difference in reducing waste.
